IMAVIS Srl is a development and sofware consulting company with headquarters in Bologna and a research and development office in Genova. The company organization includes a team of managers and a team of developers and system administrators.
IMAVIS was founded in 2000 as a spin-off of Università di Bologna by a group of scientific researchers and IT professionals with a potential to offer high quality technological software solutions. Imavis mission is to export the achievements of scientific research to industrial applications, boosting the evolution of the markets that aim at innovative solutions through technology transfer of new ideas and methods.
IMAge & VISion, that is, images and video processing, analysis, and classification by means of computer vision methods with application to video-surveillance, access control, computer aided medical diagnosis.
